Job Title: Associate Marketing Manager
Purpose of the position:
The Associate Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning and executing strategic Field Marketing initiatives to drive business growth, customer engagement, brand awareness, and demand generation for Leica Microsystems in India. This is an onsite role based in Bangalore.
A key focus of this position will be developing and managing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare practitioners, leading hospitals, academic institutes, and clinical stakeholders, particularly in specialties such as Neurosurgery, ENT, Plastic & reconstructive, Ophthalmology, and related disciplines. Also work closely with the Principal Scientists, Researchers and Investigators in Life Sciences to drive engagement. The incumbent will lead the execution of Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, clinical workshops, hands-on training sessions, scientific meetings, symposia, congresses, and product demonstration programs to promote scientific engagement and adoption of Leica Microsystems solutions.
In addition, the role will support digital marketing initiatives, lead generation activities, customer engagement programs, and marketing campaigns in close collaboration with Sales, Service, Customer Care, and Global Marketing teams. The position reports to the Marketing Head/Manager, India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with KOLs, neurosurgeons, healthcare practitioners, hospitals, and medical societies.
- Develop and execute KOL engagement plans by building and maintaining the annual KOL pipeline to drive clinical advocacy, scientific collaboration, and product adoption.
- Coordinate KOL participation in CMEs, workshops, congresses, webinars, speaker programs, and advisory boards.
- Support development of clinical testimonials, case studies, and customer success stories.
- Plan and execute CME programs, surgical workshops, hands-on training sessions, scientific meetings, and conferences.
- Partner with healthcare professionals, scientists and researchers from institutions across India to deliver impactful educational programs.
- Manage end-to-end program execution including faculty coordination, logistics, budgets, and post-event evaluation.
- Execute field marketing initiatives aligned with business objectives across all the divisions for Medical and Life Sciences.
- Drive demand generation through congresses, exhibitions, product launches, webinars, workshops, and customer engagement events.
- Manage event planning, vendors, agencies, logistics, budgets, and ROI tracking.
- Execute and optimize digital campaigns across LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms.
- Integrate digital and field marketing activities to generate and nurture leads.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide insights to improve marketing effectiveness.
Our Expectations
- Candidate should have 4-5 years of sales experience in the healthcare, medical device, life sciences, diagnostics, or pharmaceutical sectors, along with 8-10 years of marketing experience, preferably in medical devices, implants, or healthcare capital equipment.
- Strong background in KOL engagement, physician relationship management, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working with healthcare practitioners, preferably Neurosurgeons, ophthalmologists or other surgical fraternity.
- Proven ability to organize CMEs, workshops, training programs, scientific meetings, and conferences.
- Excellent communication, networking, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Marketing, Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Hands-on experience in KOL management, physician engagement, CME planning, workshops, and scientific events.
