Associate Manager Software Engineering (Smart400)

Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:

· Strong SMART/400 Knowledge and DIARY/400 Knowledge.

· Life/400 or Group/400 knowledge will be added advantage.

· Software designing, Technical leadership, Skilled with DB design, Performance Optimisation tools

· Contribute to software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code, under the guidance of senior team members.

· Collaborate with the team to meet project objectives, actively participating in code reviews and design discussions.

· Assist in the documentation of software requirements and specifications, striving for clear and effective communication.

· Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, seeking guidance and mentorship.

· Learn and adapt to software development practices and methodologies, actively participating in training programs.

· Contribute to the implementation of best practices and emerging technologies.

· Collaborate with team members to enhance your understanding of software architecture and design.

· Contribute to the team's knowledge sharing and learning environment.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies
• Strong programming and debugging skills
• Some prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity
• Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role
• Strong organizational and time management skills
Other Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in a related field is a plus
• Relevant certifications or training a plus
