Role Overview:

The Data Science Lead will drive the design, development, and deployment of advanced analytics and AI solutions. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with team leadership, guiding data scientists to deliver high-impact solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in machine learning, Generative AI, and modern AI architectures, along with the ability to translate business problems into scalable data science solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end development of data science and AI solutions from problem definition to deployment

- Design and implement machine learning, statistical, and Generative AI models

- Drive adoption of LLMs and agentic frameworks to build intelligent, scalable applications

- Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts, ensuring best practices and high-quality outputs

- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into data-driven solutions

- Oversee model deployment, monitoring, and optimization using cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)

- Establish best practices for model development, validation, and MLOps

- Stay updated with advancements in AI, GenAI, and data science, and bring innovation into projects

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 6+ years of experience in Data Science or a related field

- Strong expertise in machine learning, statistics, and data analysis

- Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and related frameworks

- Proven experience in building and deploying one or more agentic AI solutions

- Familiarity with modern AI application architectures

- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure

- Strong programming skills in Python and data science libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, etc.)

- Experience in leading or mentoring data science teams

- Experience in healthcare or life sciences domain

- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities

Good to Have:

- Exposure to NLP, deep learning, and advanced AI techniques

- Experience with vector databases, RAG pipelines, and LLM orchestration tools

- Familiarity with MLOps practices and tools

- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms

Soft Skills:

- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership

- Willingness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies
