The Replenishment Planning team is a critical part of Mattel's Global Supply Chain Planning organization, ensuring product availability across our global distribution network. As Mattel continues to transform its supply chain into a competitive advantage, this team serves as the strategic link between Regional Planning, Global Supply Planning, Manufacturing, and Logistics to deliver the right inventory, in the right place, at the right time.
Job DescriptionThe Opportunity:
The Associate Manager, Replenishment Planning – American Girl, is responsible for leading supply and replenishment planning across a portfolio of American Girl brands. This role balances inventory across multiple distribution centers and sales channels while partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure product availability, optimize inventory investment, and support business objectives throughout the product lifecycle.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Lead supply and replenishment planning for assigned American Girl brands and product portfolios.
- Balance inventory across regional distribution centers and multiple business channels, including Retail, Direct-to-Consumer, and Wholesale/External partners.
- Develop SKU-level replenishment plans that optimize product availability while supporting inventory and financial targets.
- Consolidate, analyze, and communicate supply requirements for assigned product portfolios.
- Manage replenishment of retail support materials, service parts, and expedited inventory requests.
- Oversee the complete product lifecycle, from initial demand planning through end-of-life, partnering closely with Product Development, Marketing, Retail Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, and Global Supply Planning.
- Partner with Asia-based teams to prioritize production, resolve supply constraints, and navigate manufacturing challenges.
- Support business planning activities during financial planning cycles and other key business milestones.
- Identify supply risks and develop proactive solutions to minimize disruption and improve service levels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by developing and implementing planning processes and best practices.
- Lead and develop a Coordinator or Senior Coordinator, providing coaching, direction, and support to achieve business objectives.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Planning, Replenishment Planning, Inventory Planning, or a related supply chain function.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing product portfolios across multiple SKUs and distribution channels.
- Proven ability to balance customer service objectives with inventory and financial goals.
- Experience collaborating with global manufacturing partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Experience developing, improving, and implementing planning processes.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build strong partnerships across multiple levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
