Overview of The Role
As an Associate Manager - Program Management, you will drive the day-to-day execution of client onboarding programs by coordinating multiple technical and business work streams. The role will be responsible for maintaining the overall program plan, managing risks, issues, dependencies, and delivery cadence, and ensuring all teams remain aligned towards key milestones and go-live readiness. The role requires strong program management, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills to ensure timely delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the overall program plan covering multiple workstreams, milestones, owners, timelines, and dependencies.
- Track program progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact timelines or delivery.
- Prepare program status reports, dashboards, and updates for internal leadership and client stakeholders.
- Track progress against key milestones and go-live readiness criteria, highlighting gaps and driving timely actions.
- Maintain a single source of truth for scope, decisions, action items, and change requests to ensure alignment across teams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Development, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure execution as per plan.
- Escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and resourcing challenges to the Engagement Owner with appropriate context and recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to program management processes, delivery standards, and agreed governance practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve program execution, visibility, and delivery effectiveness.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in project/program management, PMO, delivery management, or technology implementation.
- Experience working in enterprise software, IT services, consulting, or client implementation environments.
- Good understanding of software development and implementation lifecycle, including integrations, APIs, data, development, and QA.
- Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SDLC, and project management tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and drive timely execution.
- Healthcare domain experience, particularly in payer, TPA, PBM, Medicare, Dental, or Vision, is an added advantage.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years managing medium to large-scale IT application development projects or programs
- Strong expertise in project planning, estimation, resource management, budgeting, scheduling, and delivery governance
- Hands-on experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, SDLC, and project management tools
- Experience with stakeholder management, risk management, change management, and project governance
- Proven experience managing cross-functional, multi-site teams and client-facing engagements
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum certification or Healthcare domain experience
