What you will do

The Associate Manager, NPD Sourcing serves as the strategic sourcing leader for new product development programs, partnering with Marketing, R&D, Operations, Quality, Finance, and suppliers to bring innovative products from concept through commercialization. This role is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that enable successful product launches, mitigate risk, optimize cost, and create long-term business value. This is a hybrid role based in Flower Mound, TX, requiring on-site presence two days per week, with flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the week. 

  • Lead sourcing strategy for new product development and new product introduction (NPI) initiatives, ensuring alignment with business, operational, and commercialization objectives. 

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for new technologies, components, and manufacturing processes, balancing cost, quality, service, innovation, and risk. 

  • Lead RFQs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, sourcing awards, contracts, and development agreements. 

  • Develop and execute supplier strategies that support product launches, margin expansion, supply continuity, and long-term growth. 

  • Analyze cost drivers, market dynamics, and supplier capabilities to inform sourcing decisions and negotiation strategies. 

  • Drive supplier performance and accountability throughout the product development lifecycle and transition to sustaining operations. 

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Marketing to ensure sourcing strategies support project timelines, business cases, and financial objectives. 

  • Track project costs, identify value creation opportunities, and drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising performance or quality. 

What you need:

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field. 

  • 6+ years of sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management experience. 

  • Demonstrated experience leading supplier contract negotiations and sourcing strategies for complex products or programs. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • 3+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives. 

  • Experience in medical devices or other highly regulated industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, life sciences). 

  • SAP experience. 

  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent). 

  • Experience supporting new product development and commercialization in a global supply chain environment. 

  


United States of America Pay Ranges:

US10: $98,200 - $163,700 USD Annual

  


Travel Percentage: 30%
