Job Summary
The Live & Sports DTC Marketing team is seeking an Associate Manager to support the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns for sports across Disney+ and Hulu, including Hulu + Live TV. This role will help drive brand, engagement, retention, and acquisition goals through campaigns spanning live sports, tentpole events, tune-in, partner activations, and retention programs.
The Associate Manager will focus on turning sports moments into subscriber demand across DTC products while positioning sports clearly within Disney’s broader family of brands and products. This role will serve as a day-to-day contact for network and league partners and requires strong execution, project management, communication, and relationship-management skills. Knowledge of and passion for sports is essential.
Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of Disney+, Hulu, and Hulu + Live TV marketing campaigns across sports, live events, and entertainment.
Run task force meetings, ensure the right content is featured, secure content and legal approvals, and keep projects on budget.
Serve as a key day-to-day contact for network and league partners, coordinating campaigns, requests, and approvals to keep partners aligned and supported.
Support acquisition and retention efforts around key sports windows by partnering with lifecycle/CRM and subscriber acquisition teams to help turn sports moments into subscriber demand.
Gather and synthesize consumer insights, audience data, and performance metrics to inform briefs, messaging, campaign decisions, tracking, and optimization.
Assist in building briefs and decks that guide and inspire campaigns, partnerships, and ideas.
Partner with campaign leads and cross-functional teams throughout projects to maintain consistency of brand vision across on- and off-channel efforts.
Research cultural and sports trends that can be owned or amplified by the brand.
Qualifications
3+ years of relevant experience in brand or campaign marketing with a leading consumer-facing brand or agency; media, TV, or sports company experience is a plus.
Experience and knowledge of the sports landscape; live sports DTC experience is ideal.
Experience contributing to 360 marketing campaigns from strategy through creative execution and launch.
Familiarity with subscription/DTC growth levers, including acquisition, conversion, lifecycle, and retention, is a plus.
Exposure to product and marketing positioning strategy.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and switch between creative and analytical work without losing sight of the details.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and partner-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and levels of the organization.
Candidate must live within a reasonable distance of the office in Burbank, California. This role requires someone onsite 4 days a week.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
