データサイエンス室の統計解析当は、主に国外における医薬品および医療機器の臨床試験計画、臨床評価、承認申請等に関わる統計解析業務をい、承認取得に貢献しています。また、トランスレーショナル・リーサーチの分野等においても、統計的側面から計画立案等に貢献しています。

In clinical trials and exploratory clinical research (translational research studies), the incumbent will be responsible for statistical analysis related to clinical trial planning, clinical evaluation, and regulatory applications for pharmaceuticals and medical devices in Japan and overseas, and contribute to obtaining regulatory approvals.

今後、臨床試験やトランスレーショナル・リーサーチの分野を中心に、広い統計解析業務に従事しながら、統計的側面から臨床試験等の計画立案に貢献できる人材を求めています。

• 臨床試験の革新的な統計方法・統計的諸事や規制当局・業界の最新動向を把握・分析し、要に応じて治験計画や実務に反映する。
• 試験計画立案プロセスに早期より参画し、科学的に適正な試験デザイン・プロトコールを策定するとともに、治験の質の確保･向上を図る。
• 臨床試験計画または試験結果につき、関係に口頭あるいは記述を以って効果的にコミュニケーションを図る。
• グローバルな異文化や多様性を理解し、英語によるコミュニケーションを図り、国際開発業務にも寄与する。

• To keep abreast of and analyze innovative statistical methods and various statistical issues in clinical trials, as well as the latest developments in regulatory authorities and industry, and to reflect them in clinical trial planning and practice as necessary.
• Participate in the study planning process from an early stage to develop scientifically appropriate study designs and protocols, and to ensure and improve the quality of clinical trials.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders about clinical trial plans or results, either orally or in writing.
• Understand global and cross-cultural diversity, communicate in English, and contribute to international development work.

資格

• 理系修士卒もしくは同等レベル以上が好ましい。　
• 製薬業界において、統計解析当としての実務経験/SASプログラミング経験が7年以上ある。
• 対人関係や協調性およびコミュニケーションスキルにおいて向上心をもって自己啓発を図る
• 成果を上げるため、要な協力が得られるよう、部門や国・地域の垣根を越えて、関係（パートナー）との協働体制を築く。
• Master's degree in science or equivalent preferred.　
• At least 7 years of work experience as a Statistician / SAS programming experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Self-motivated with a desire to continually improve in interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills, as well as the growth and development of the team and stakeholders.
• In order to achieve results, build a collaborative system with relevant parties (partners) across divisions, countries, and regions to obtain necessary cooperation.
