About the Role
The Associate Manager is responsible for managing a team while designing, executing, and reporting on standard work processes to ensure transportation solutions are maintained for accuracy and efficiency. The team is responsible for for on-time delivery of customer freight while controlling costs and providing excellent customer communication. The idea candidate can use statistical data to drive efficiency as well as use root cause analysis tools to improve business processes and exceed customer expectations.   

What the Candidate Will Do

Essential functions and tasks   

Supervise day-to-day activities of team members  

Schedule staff and distribute workload   

Ensure team members meet daily goals and monitor individual and team performance   

Develop and distribute customer and internal performance management reports   

Develop, implement and maintain effective processes   

Proactively generate and share ideas that lead to process efficiency and customer experience improvement  

Develop strong relationships across organization  

Develop team members by providing training opportunities, projects, mentoring and coaching   

Create and maintain strong team culture in line with Uber Freight values and behaviors   

 Basic Qualifications

• Advanced English, verbal and written 
• 3 years of LOGISTICS experience WITH increasing level of responsibility  

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to anticipate and resolve problems using root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.   

• Ability to establish priorities, work independently and proceed with objectives without supervision.   

• Excellent people skills, communication, and organizational skills.    

• Experience in the Freight Industry.  

• Forward thinking. Ability to envision and implement new concepts/strategies.   

• Service Orientation (Commits to and enjoys providing exceptional service to internal and external customers).  

• Strong sense of urgency and capable of working under pressure.   

• The ability to work in a team environment.
