Job Summary for Associate Litigation Attorney:

We are seeking a highly engaged and motivated Associate Workers Compensation Attorney to join our legal team. This role involves managing the full litigation process from investigation through trial, representing clients in a wide range of proceedings and providing strategic legal guidance. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, a skilled negotiator, and a trusted partner to clients and colleagues alike.

**The Associate Attorney is a remote position, but candidate must live within commutable distance to New Jersey for occasional in-office meetings.**

Key Responsibilities for Associate Litigation Attorney:
  • Manage the litigation process from investigation and discovery through trial preparation and court proceedings.

  • Represent clients in depositions, site inspections, hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.

  • Research and analyze applicable laws to develop effective legal strategies and communicate findings to claims representatives and insured clients.

  • Draft and present clear, well-reasoned legal opinions, pleadings, motions, and other documents.

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with claims representatives, insured clients, and internal departments.

  • Conduct training sessions for Legal, Claims, or other business units as needed.

  • Track and record billable hours accurately and efficiently.

  • Independently manage a caseload with little to no supervision.

Qualifications for Associate Litigation Attorney:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

  • Active bar admission in New Jersey (required).

  • Demonstrated litigation experience, including discovery, trial preparation, and courtroom proceedings.

  • Strong research, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases independently while meeting deadlines.

  • Familiarity with billable hour requirements and timekeeping practices
