- Provide legal entity controller and financial support for Cantor's entities, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Liaise with multiple departments to maintain proper accounting practices and financial controls.
- Lead and offer financial support for new transactions and entity structure changes.
- Manage month/quarter-end close processes, including journal entries and waterfall calculations.
- Prepare and review quarterly financial statements for external reporting.
- Perform administrative tasks related to entity operations, such as wire payments and invoice processing.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet substantiation and analytical reporting for broker-dealer/SBSD.
- Initiate process improvements, build controls, and collaborate with IT for system enhancements.
- Assist with internal and external audit inquiries, ensuring compliance.
- Support team, department, and business managers on ad-hoc projects and special initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.
- CPA certification is a requirement.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in financial accounting within a financial services company.
- Experience in a Big Four public accounting firm is preferred.
- Technical expertise in accounting and financial reporting is essential.
- Familiarity with Oracle, ESSBASE, and HFM is an advantage.
- Advanced Excel skills, project management abilities, and multitasking capabilities are required.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail are key.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and business writing skills are a must.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
