We are looking for an Associate Lead DevOps Engineer to join the LCH Securities Technology team at LSEG. In this role, you will help design, and improve the tools and infrastructure that power our software development lifecycle. You will work with engineering, testing, and operations teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and automated solutions that support key services across the organisation.

This is a great opportunity to work on high-impact systems that support capital markets technology, with direct influence on engineering efficiency, delivery quality, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, build, and maintain DevOps tooling and SDLC platforms used across multiple engineering teams.

  • Develop integrations with third‑party tools that support development, testing, and service operations.

  • Create high-quality automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions that improve delivery speed and reliability.

  • Partner with engineering and QA teams to identify process gaps and opportunities for improvement.

  • Lead the design and implementation of solutions that enhance developer experience, consistency, and platform reliability.

  • Improve observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system health and performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify workflows and reduce manual effort.

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership to the DevOps team, supporting them throughout the delivery lifecycle.

  • Explore new technologies and introduce innovative ways that contribute to our platform and processes.

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.

  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies and modern DevOps practices.

  • Proficiency with AWS services and cloud‑native architectures.

  • Proficiency in CI/CD tooling, automation frameworks, and configuration management.

  • Hands-on experience building Infrastructure‑as‑Code solutions, ideally with Terraform or similar tools.

  • High proficiency in Python for automation and tooling development.

  • Experience supporting engineering teams and delivering scalable internal solutions.

  • Knowledge of Java or C++ is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams across the organisation.

  • A passion for automation, reliability, and delivering a great developer experience.
