Sentara Health is looking for an Associate IT Technical Specialist to join our TeamThis is a Full Time day shift position located at Sentara Independence, Virginia Beach, VA
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, preferred
- 0-2 years of relevant experience with a degree
- 3 years of relevant experience without a degree
- Prefer one or more of the following: MCDST, A+, Network+, CompTIA Project+.
Experience in IT technical support or a related customer-facing technical role
Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to computer hardware, software, applications, or monitoring systems
Familiarity with providing support remotely, in person, or over the phone
Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills in a technical environment
Ability to work effectively in a team-based setting and exercise independent judgment when needed
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on issues
Customer-focused mindset with a results-oriented approach
Willingness to work on-call and respond to technical issues outside of normal business hours
Ability to stay current with evolving technologies and technical solutions

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$22.39 - $37.32. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.Sentara Independence provides quality outpatient services to the surrounding community. The facility includes an ambulance-accessible emergency room that is supported by board-certified physicians. Sentara Independence houses state-of-the-art medical equipment and highly-skilled physicians and staff. Sentara Independence is now an extension of the quality services at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital including advanced imaging and physical therapy.
