Under some guidance, works on smaller projects, is responsible for soliciting product and enhancement requirements from management and end users. Converts the requests into a workable solution to either implement through configuration or communicate requirements to development. Support production users for troubleshooting and resolution of issues. Work alongside QA team to test software and alongside project managers to implement solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Support production users by resolving business problems for internal and external customers by utilizing problem solving and analytical skills. Quick decision making to implement necessary changes.
- Configure and maintain transportation software and integrated software to support end users. Implement proposed system changes.
- Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed business systems and processes to identify and implement improvements and opportunities to meet business unit objectives in smaller, less complex processes. Recommend system changes, documents business rules as well as conduct "as-is" and "to-be" process flowchart processes and documents the results.
- Create user stories/use cases, process & Data flows and scenarios in order to clearly communicate a set of functional requirements. Provide input and support the development of business and functional specifications. Document to ensure business requirements are adequately reflected in development documents.
- Communicate with software architects and developers utilizing technical background.
Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, MIS or BCIS.
Experience: Customer service. Basic writing requirements.
- Individual must demonstrate analytical and problem solving abilities. Must have a technical background and ability to communicate with software architects and developers. Must have good communication, written and oral, skills. Must have the ability to communicate ideas to others. Must be able to communicate analytical and process information to non-analytical staff.
- Job requires documentation of business and data requirements with specific attention to detail. The ability to create user stories/use cases is preferred. Requires good customer service and relationship building. Must have the ability to multi-task under time constraints and set priorities and accomplish duties with little direct supervision.
