Associate Instructional Designer
The Opportunity
Rapid7's Global Growth Enablement team is looking for an associate Instructional Designer to join our global team. This is an opportunity to work in conjunction with our senior instructional designers to build engaging content to support the onboarding and certification of our global Moose.

About the Team
Our Growth Enablement team is responsible for development and ongoing management of domain-relevant training focused on Rapid7 strategies and industry knowledge. They ensure sellers and customer achievement can be productive to ongoing efforts to set up our go to customer teams for long term success across the full customer lifecycle.
About the Role
- The role will work with program designers to architect a curriculum most appropriate for various professional personas supported.
- Create e-learning and Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) courseware using various solutions, including Articulate Rise, Google Slides, and Techsmith Camtasia.
- Create certification that aligns with the milestones in line with the onboarding and growth programs
- Curate written, video, and webinar content from product teams in a centralized and indexed Learning Management System
- Support a unified brand experience across all training content and associated courseware
- Collaborate with other instructional designers across the team in building content
- Apply principles of adult learning and cognitive load practices to eLearning content
The skills you'll bring include:
- Prior experience teaching or deploying enterprise or cloud-based solutions
- Prior experience producing customer content (videos, eLearning modules, technical presentations, job aids)
- Excel at visual storytelling using delivery tools such as Google Slide Presentations and eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or Adobe Captivate
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
- Demonstrated ability to transform Instructor-Led Training (ILT) content into an eLearning experience
- Proven expertise in designing and developing new content utilizing the ADDIE and SAM model frameworks
- Ability to manage multiple projects within tight timeframes
- Ability to work effectively on global and virtual teams and accommodate time differences
- Strong project management skills, must be able to self-manage content development process and collaborate with SMEs to produce high quality and impactful content
- Experience working in cybersecurity is preferred but not required; knowledge of the personas working in the cybersecurity community
- Work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment with tight deadlines and minimal supervision that demands high quality, creativity, and consistency
