The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Industrial Security Specialist to join the team in Tukwila, WA.
Join our team as an Industrial Security Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting activities within the Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) Facilities Security Officer team. Position Responsibilities:
- Executes the personnel security lifecycle including initiating and tracking background investigations, reviewing adjudication findings, recommending granting or revoking physical and logical access, maintaining secure personnel records
- Conducts assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
- Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action
- Coordinates incident investigations in the event of a security infraction or violation
- Secures vulnerabilities by conducting employee interviews, and drafting the Management Action Letter.
- Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
- Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
- Performs Personnel Security processes (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, submittals to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for customer and program requirements
- Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
- Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
- Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience in Industrial Security
- 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
- Must be able to work 2nd shift
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
- Experience working in an aviation security environment
- Experience with time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Experience working efficiently in an interrupt-driven environment, yet staying on track with tasks, projects, and deadlines
- Experience with sound decision-making skill within your role and authority
