Job Summary

Job Description

The Accounts Receivable Clerk II is responsible for executing moderately complex tasks related to cash application, billing issuance, and credit/debit memo processing. This role requires a working knowledge of AR systems and procedures and operates with limited supervision. The Clerk II supports process improvements, resolves escalated issues, and ensures compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. Apply customer payments to accounts, including handling partial payments, unapplied cash, and payment discrepancies.  Reconcile cash receipts with bank statements and ERP records; investigate variances. Generate and issue invoices based on validated sales orders or service contracts. Communicate with internal teams to resolve billing and payment discrepancies. Review billing accuracy and coordinate with Sales Ops and Customer Service to resolve complex issues. Prepare and process credit/debit memos with supporting documentation and approvals. Maintain audit-ready documentation and ensure compliance with company policies. Assist in month-end close activities, including AR aging analysis and reporting. Support internal and external audit requests related to AR transactions. Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
