It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite for three (3) or more days a week and will have a dedicated workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

Summary of the Job:

 

The Associate II is accountable for a range of assignments related to supporting the success in identification and mitigation of risks and trends, regulatory compliance and potential reputational risks for the business within the Banking Division. This role will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and addressing trends, regulatory and reputational risk. This role will collaborate across the segment and other business units to complete work.

About This Role:

 

  • Understand the Laws and regulations applicable to the business strategies, products, services, processes, and third parties
  • Maintain a high level of transparency and understanding of the top priorities, strategies, and risk tolerances
  • Perform Financial Crimes/KYC monitoring to ensure ongoing compliance with applicable requirements, processes, procedures and risk tolerances
  • Monitor performance to ensure controls, processes and workflows are working as intended and actively and promptly identify gaps or weaknesses
  • Notify management and other stakeholders of any significant gaps or process inefficiencies for awareness and/or action
  • Responsible for completion of day to day and monthly regulatory compliance tasks.  Analyze trends, develop, and implement action plans related to this activity.
  • Provide recommendations, solutions, and enhancements to management for continual improvements to increase risk mitigation and compliance by front-line staff and implement with guidance from Manager or Senior Team Members.
  • Support Audits and Reviews by analyzing testing reports and observations and report back findings to management
  • Provide advice and training to front-line staff, management, and other team members concerning applicable policies and regulations.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience
  • 1-3 years of financial crimes, branch banking, risk or compliance experience and proficiency in Banking and/or Operations systems (Foundation, TRIPS, ICE, etc)
  • Proven and strong ability to multi-task assigned projects and daily workload while adhering to deadlines and accuracy.
  • Self-reliance and willingness to "own" problems, use a variety of resources to self-seek answers, and creatively find solutions. 
  • Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations
  • Solid written and oral communication skills with ability to provide appropriate levels of detail based on the purpose and audience
  • Strong Knowledge and demonstrated experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Compensation:

 

Compensation range (base pay): $62,047.00-$102,377.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
