Job Description:
The Tax Senior Associate is responsible for executing compliance and tax-related activities with a high degree of accuracy and within established timelines. The individual is expected to develop subject matter expertise in assigned tasks and projects, take ownership of deliverables, and provide guidance to team members. This role emphasizes the execution of critical tax functions and prompt resolution of stakeholder and customer queries.

• Perform assigned Sales and Use Tax (SUT) compliance and Indirect Tax activities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, and coordinate with internal reviewers for quality checks. 
• Take on complex tasks upon successful completion of the learning curve, based on performance and readiness. 
• Manage deadlines for assigned projects, operational tasks, and ad hoc activities, while serving as a backup when needed. 
• Demonstrate strong understanding of U.S. Indirect Tax domains, including tax return filings for Sales and Use Tax and Property Tax. 
• Maintain knowledge of Tax Exemptions and support related processes. 
• Quickly adapt to new responsibilities and take ownership of deliverables. 
• Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and calculations. 
• Support Sales and Use Tax accounting and reporting processes as required. 
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and maintain strong interpersonal relationships. 
• Familiarity with business license renewal processes is a plus. 

Scope of Responsibilities:
• Receive detailed training and project assignments from the Team Leader or Manager.
• Rapidly progress through the learning curve and assume responsibility for assigned activities.

• 4–6 years of relevant experience in U.S. taxation, with a focus on Sales and Use Tax (SUT) and Indirect Tax. 
• Educational background: MBA in Finance/Taxation or M.Com with a B.Com degree. 
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word. 
• Hands-on experience with tax software such as OneSource and Vertex. 
• Familiarity with Salesforce is advantageous but not mandatory
