The HR COO Associate supports the HR COO office in the coordination and delivery of Institutional Securities Group (ISG) HR priorities, including leadership initiatives and department-wide activities. The individual will work closely with colleagues across HR, business stakeholders, and external partners to ensure initiatives are executed with precision, consistency, and a high-quality stakeholder experience.
What you'll do in the role:
Communications & Content
- Draft and deliver targeted HR communications (e.g. Year-End updates, key reminders)
- Develop executive-ready materials (presentations, summaries, talking points)
- Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned across initiatives
Project & Program Coordination
- Support execution of key HR and ISG initiatives (e.g., talent programs, Challenge Lab, AI efforts)
- Coordinate across stakeholders to ensure delivery and escalate risks as needed
Event & Initiative Execution
- Execute department-wide initiatives and events (e.g., MD Dinner, talent and AI programs)
- Provide end-to-end logistics, including run-of-show, materials, and day-of coordination
Organizational & Infrastructure Support
- Maintain core infrastructure (org charts, onboarding materials, distribution lists)
- Ensure materials are current, accurate, and aligned to organizational change
What you'll bring to the role:
- 4-6 years' relevant experience in HR, COO, or business operations roles
- Strong communication and content development skills, with experience creating clear, executive-ready materials
- Proven project management and coordination experience, supporting multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working across cross-functional, global teams with strong stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage timelines, logistics, and deliverables with precision
- Ability to synthesize information and support decision-making through clear insights and tracking
- Experience supporting events or large-scale initiatives, including logistics and execution
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage competing demands, and execute with discipline

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $91,000 and $131,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
