The Human Resources Associate Business Partner provides broad support across the employee lifecycle while building foundational business partnership capabilities. Working under the guidance of a HR Senior Director, this position partners with HR Business Partners, managers and employees to deliver programs, support talent initiatives, maintain compliance, and promote a positive employee experience.
This role is designed for a professional ready to expand beyond administration into a hybrid role that combines operational execution with consultative support, while building capabilities in employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning.
- Serve as a contact for employees and supervisors regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Build trusted relationships with assigned client groups by providing timely HR guidance and support.
- Escalate complex employee relations issues while assisting with documentation, fact gathering, and follow-up.
- Support routine employee relations matters including attendance concerns, coaching documentation, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation.
- Promote fair and consistent application of company policies.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to support recruiting and onboarding activities.
- Coordinate onboarding and new hire integration.
- Help managers create successful onboarding experiences.
- Support managers through goal-setting, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Coordinate leadership and employee development programs.
- Facilitate selected HR training sessions.
- Promote available learning resources and development opportunities.
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information.
- Support audits and compliance reporting.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, internships, mentoring programs, and culture-building activities.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
Experience- 1–3 years of progressive HR experience.
- Experience in corporate, retail, distribution, hospitality, or similar fast-paced environments preferred.
- Internship or rotational HR experience may be considered.
- Working knowledge of employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO).
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Experience with HRIS systems (Workday, ADP, or similar).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is $70,000 to $75,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
