Job Title: Senior Associate, Hedge Fund Accounting
Location: Windsor, CT (hybrid)
About the Role
This role offers broad exposure to the full hedge fund and private equity fund lifecycle while working in a collaborative environment that values precision, accountability, and continuous improvement.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Work closely with Private Equity & Hedge Fund clients to deliver accurate financial reporting, transaction processing, and day-to-day accounting support
- Take ownership of daily fund accounting operations, including cash, position, and market value reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive workpapers, including capital activity, investment transactions, income and expense accruals
- Analyze transaction documentation to understand investment structures, accounting impacts, and accrual requirements
- Interact with investment managers and prime brokers to resolve questions and reconciliation differences
- Support the year-end audit process, partnering closely with internal teams, clients, and external auditors
- Assist in the review of monthly and quarterly investor statements
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 2+ years of accounting experience, with hands-on exposure to general ledgers, workpapers, and financial statement preparation
