What You’ll Be Doing

Reporting to the Head of Canadian Pension and Asset Manager Originations, you will be an integral member of CIBC’s Structured Solutions sales team. Your mandate is to originate and support the distribution of innovative structured finance products to Canadian pension funds and asset managers, driving business growth and strengthening client relationships.

In this sales and origination role, you will support CIBC’s structured finance efforts by originating and executing complex transactions—including deals across private credit, securitization, SRTs, and fund finance solutions—specifically for Canadian pension funds and asset managers. You will be managing client relationships, providing dedicated support, and ensuring the successful distribution of structured finance products and coordinating with trading desks on transaction approval, execution, and risk management for both traditional and innovative structured finance products. This role will also allow you to facilitate smooth transactions by working closely with trading, internal operations, credit, treasury, legal, and onboarding teams. You will support business development by participating in client meetings, delivering presentations, generating value-added ideas, and streamlining daily sales operations to drive operational excellence within the Structured Solutions team. You will be engaging in continuous learning and sharing insights to foster a culture of improvement and innovation with occasional travel to meet clients and internal stakeholders. Your sales expertise, organizational skills, and commitment to CIBC’s values will be essential to your success in advancing CIBC’s structured finance initiatives with Canada’s leading institutional investors.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time.

The expected annualized base salary for this role is $125,000.
The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.
In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.
We are committed to providing fair, equitable, and competitive compensation opportunities for all employees and we encourage open conversations about compensation throughout the recruitment process.
