Associate Game Artist

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating 2D illustrations, including characters, environments, and in-game assets, maintaining high artistic quality.

• Support the team in developing engaging 2D animations for game elements, enhancing player experience.

• Learn and work with Spine 2D to create and refine character and object animations.

• Collaborate with senior artists and developers to understand game art requirements and deliver assets accordingly.

• Adapt to various artistic styles and ensure consistency across projects.

• Optimize assets for performance and seamless integration into the game pipeline.

• Stay open to feedback and continuously improve by learning new tools, techniques, and industry best practices.

• Communicate effectively with team members and contribute innovative ideas to enhance the visual appeal of the games.

Requirements:

• Strong drawing and illustration skills, with an understanding of composition, colour, and character design.

• Basic knowledge of 2D animation principles and a keen interest in developing animation skills.

• Familiarity with Spine 2D or a willingness to learn it quickly.

• Technically inclined, with the ability to adapt to new tools and software efficiently.

• A strong personal portfolio showcasing digital illustrations, character designs, background art, and animations.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and open to feedback and guidance.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Basic understanding of game development pipelines and asset optimization.

• Familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, or other digital painting software.

• Exposure to UI/UX design for games is a plus.

• 3D application knowledge i.e. Blender 3D, Maya , 3DS Max etc.
