We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Associate Full Stack Developers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess relevant working experience on delivering software solutions that enable rich consumer experiences, from mobile and web applications to advanced analytics and machine learning, to content and engagement management service enablement platforms. Inherent throughout our tech capabilities is deep expertise in the Software Development Life Cycle, a drive for creativity, a passion for the craft, and collaboration with other disciplines—all foundational ingredients in successful digital experiences and client partnerships.
YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality web-based systems.
- Participate in business and technical discussions internally and externally with clients.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Business Analysts to propose technical solutions.
- Communicate technical design alternatives, limitations, and benefits.
- Contribute to growth by actively participating in new business activities, statement of work (scope, deliverables, and effort estimations), and project delivery.
- Audit new and existing implementations, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Advocate for industry and department best practices.
- Make internal recommendations to help improve and streamline technical and architectural processes.
- Develop technical specifications and design documents for client and internal engagements.
- Work closely with Appnovation leaders to develop high-value solutions based on market trends and analysis and craft approaches for successful delivery.
- Define API specifications and create web services.
- Create complex UI components and user flows.
- Disseminate solutions and delegate tasks to developers.
- Conduct code reviews.
- Support all internal and client information security compliance activities to assure compliance with required client standards, procedures, guidelines, and processes.
- Create knowledge base articles for marketing, case studies, whitepapers, and to share experiences with the broader Appnovation team.
- Ensure technology standards, patterns, and practices are understood and implemented by all teams and partners.
- Advocate for ongoing internal knowledge capture and sharing.
JOB SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Must‑haves
- 3 + years professional experience building and shipping web or mobile applications as part of a cross‑functional team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or demonstrably equivalent industry experience.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code and deliver features end‑to‑end with quality and security in mind.
- Solid grasp of software design patterns and the full SDLC, including peer reviews and automated CI workflows.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript plus one modern framework—React, Vue, or Angular—and experience building responsive UIs (HTML 5, CSS 3, Flexbox/Sass/Less).
- Practical back‑end development experience with Node.js (or Java/PHP) and RESTful API design/consumption; comfortable reading and producing OpenAPI/Swagger specs.
- Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and basic data‑modelling principles.
- Familiarity with Git and at least one CI/CD platform (Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Exposure to at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and awareness of security‑by‑design and privacy best practices.
- Clear written and verbal English; able to articulate technical trade‑offs to teammates, project managers, and clients across APAC time zones.
Nice‑to‑haves
- Experience with additional stacks or frameworks—PHP (Laravel/Drupal/WordPress), Java (Spring/Hibernate), Python, Go.
- Knowledge of serverless (AWS Lambda, Cloud Functions, Azure Functions) or containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with DevOps culture and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Prior work with third‑party UI libraries (Material UI, PrimeReact), GraphQL, micro‑front‑ends, or web performance optimisation.
- Hands‑on unit, integration, or E2E test automation (Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Playwright).
- Experience in client consulting, writing statements of work, or effort estimation.
- Exposure to ML/AI services (AWS SageMaker, Vertex AI, Azure ML) and data analytics or reporting tooling.
