Senior Associate, Full Stack Developer

We are currently looking for passionate and skilled Technical Lead/Senior Full Stack Developers who enjoy building web sites, web applications and (hybrid) mobile applications with the ability to contribute to both server-side and client-side components.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Work as part of a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality web-based systems.
• Participate in business and technical discussions internally and externally with clients.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Business Analysts to propose technical solutions.
• Communicate technical design alternatives, limitations, and benefits.
• Conduct requirements analysis, development estimates, testing, and documentation.
• Contribute to growth by actively participating in new business activities, statement of work (scope, deliverables, and effort estimations), and project delivery.
• Audit new and existing implementations, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Advocate for industry and department best practices.
• Make internal recommendations to help improve and streamline technical and architectural processes.
• Develop technical specifications and design documents for client and internal engagements.
• Work closely with Appnovation leaders to develop high-value solutions based on market trends and analysis and craft approaches for successful delivery.
• Define API specifications and create web services.
• Create complex UI components and user flows.
• Disseminate solutions and delegate tasks to developers.
• Conduct code reviews.
• Support all internal and client information security compliance activities to assure compliance with required client standards, procedures, guidelines, and processes.
• Create knowledge base articles for marketing, case studies, whitepapers, and to share experiences with the broader Appnovation team.
• Ensure technology standards, patterns, and practices are understood and implemented by all teams and partners.
• Advocate for ongoing internal knowledge capture and sharing.
• Educate staff members through ongoing training and individual support.
• Mentor and coach junior developers on quality and security conventions and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, web and/or mobile development, developing across multiple platforms, and delivering projects as part of a team, preferably as a technical lead.
• Proven history of writing great code and completing complex software enhancements proficiently with a high level of quality.
• Deep understanding of software architectural patterns.
• Deep understanding of modern web and/or mobile development frameworks and build tools.
• Strong understanding of software quality attributes (e.g., Correctness, Reliability, Adequacy, Learnability, Robustness, Maintainability, Readability, Extensibility, Testability, Efficiency, Portability).
• Strong understanding of security and privacy by design principles.
• Strong understanding and experience with DevOps principles, processes, and tools (e.g., Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins).
• Expert knowledge in several development technologies and programming languages (e.g., PHP, Java, JavaScript, Python).
• Experience working with ES6, React, Vue, Angular, Express, Node.
• Experience with PHP frameworks/CMS like Laravel, Drupal, WordPress, and Python frameworks/CMS like Flask.
• Experience with Java and Java-based technologies and frameworks (Spring, Hibernate).
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience working with HTML5 and CSS3, responsive design, flexbox, SCSS, SASS, or LESS.
• Experience with third-party UI libraries (e.g., Material UI, PrimeReact).
• Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, Couchbase, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with Cloud Computing and Serverless Architecture (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience translating business requirements into technical approaches and solutions.
• Experience working with microarchitectures, SOAP, and REST APIs.
• Experience working with delivery methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile - Scrum, SAFe, DAD).
• Understanding of working with ML and ML APIs.
• Continuously enhancing creative and technical skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
  Excellent communication skills.

• Experience working with AWS Lambda and writing Python scripts preferred.
• Familiarity with unit and automated testing.
