Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualized spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.
The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.
We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.
The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.
If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.
About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Analyst or Associate to join the Financial Planning & Analysis team within our broader Strategic Finance organization! You will play an integral role in building out our FP&A practice, collaborating with leaders across the company on measuring financial performance and identifying ways to make Ramp more efficient. The Strategic Finance team owns key decisions around how we allocate and prioritize Ramp’s time and resources. We're looking for someone who combines strong financial acumen with a builder's mindset — someone who sees a manual process and instinctively thinks about how to automate it, and is driven to automate, systematize, and build. (No coding experience needed — we'll get you up to speed.)
This is a high-impact position and represents a truly unique opportunity to join one of the country’s fastest-growing, pre-IPO startups at a time when it is critical for us to build more robust financial operations and infrastructure.
What You'll DoOwn the company’s consolidated financial model, including reporting on past performance and forecasting expected performance
Manage Ramp’s performance against our financial targets and identify ways to meet expectations where behind, and exceed expectations where on pace
Help run bi-annual budgeting and headcount planning cycles to steer Ramp into our next phase of growth
Partner with business leaders across the organization to prioritize key focus areas for the company, communicate clear business objectives, and drive accountability
Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
Build and maintain internal tools and applications that streamline FP&A workflows, reduce manual work and improve data accuracy across the finance org
Leverage AI tools to rapidly prototype and ship solutions that would traditionally require engineering support
3+ years of experience in Investment Banking, VC / PE, or Corporate Finance at top-tier technology company
Extreme attention to detail with a high regard for precision
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Track record of developing and maintaining relationships with both internal and external partners
Excellent financial modeling and quantitative / data analysis skills
A “get things done” mentality; you can dissect complex problems, identify solutions, and drive these solutions to completion with a high degree of autonomy
A natural inclination to learn and adopt new tools and technologies — you're energized, not intimidated, by figuring out unfamiliar systems
Expertise with Looker, SQL, and/or Python
Systems thinking — you naturally think about how processes connect end-to-end and how to design them to be reliable, scalable, and maintainable
Curiosity about and willingness to learn about AI tools — prior experience is a plus but not required
