Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Planning & Communications Associate will play a key role in managing relationships with investors, analysts, and stakeholders. This unique hybrid role blends deep financial insight with strong storytelling ability to drive internal alignment and communicate the company’s financial narrative to key stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for storytelling through data.  This role will be based in our Nashville, TN office on a hybrid basis. 

What You Will Do:

Financial & Strategic Communication

  • Assist in preparing quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, press releases, Q&A documents, and other external communications

  • Assist in preparing materials for executive presentations, town halls, and press releases.

  • Translate complex financial data (e.g., earnings results, budget forecasts, KPIs) into compelling narratives for diverse audiences, including investors, executives, and employees

  • Communicate financial risks (market shifts, regulatory changes) to stakeholders, including mitigation strategies aligned with company objectives.

  • Support the planning and execution of investor events such as earnings calls, investor days, roadshows, and conferences.

  • Oversee the investor relations website, including interactive tools and timely updates post-earnings close. Manage the controls process of the website.

  • Act as a liaison between Finance, Legal, Marketing, and People & Culture to ensure integrated messaging for initiatives like mergers, restructuring, or product launches.

  • Maintain investor CRM systems to track interactions, analyze engagement trends, and personalize outreach.

  • Monitor KPIs for communication effectiveness (e.g., website traffic, investor engagement rates, response rates, query volume) and adjust strategies based on insights.

  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline workflows.

  • Maintain consistent brand voice and messaging in financial storytelling.

What You Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics or other numerical discipline.

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and working in (re)insurance industry preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation abilities. Ability to distill technical jargon into accessible language.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

  • Highly motivated and creative / strategic thinker.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

$73,000$83,000 USD
