Competitive Total Compensation Range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually depending on experience & credentials (inclusive of base salary and discretionary performance-based bonuses).

As an integral member of the Pinkowski Wealth Management team, the role of the Investment Associate/Analyst will focus on the research and trading of our discretionary portfolio mandates.
We manage discretionary model portfolios on behalf of our clients and the Associate, Financial Analysis will be an integral part of the portfolio management team. Individuals in this role possess the skills required for fundamental analysis of securities and critical reasoning to achieve risk-adjusted, consistent outcomes as part of our active management strategy. To be successful, you must be disciplined and have a passion for investments and capital markets. In this role you will be reporting to the Portfolio Manager.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Completion of and/or willingness to complete CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst);
- Completion of and/or willingness to complete CSC (Canadian Securities Course) and CPH (Conduct and Practices Handbook);
- 3-5 years of relevant experience;
- Analytical, natural curiosity, innovative and creative thinker;
- Strong communication and writing skills;
- A winning and positive attitude;
- Highly motivated with the ability to work effectively, independently and as part of a team;
- High attention to detail ;
- Strong knowledge of Excel;
- Excellent prioritization and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure;
- Experienced in a trading or portfolio management capacity an asset;
- Knowledge of Dataphile, YCharts and Envestnet an asset.
Research Responsibilities:
- Keeping up to date on news flow for corporate and market moving events;
- Monitor economic and market conditions to provide both insight and opinions to the Portfolio Manager;
- Follow a structured and cohesive investment process;
- Analyze quarterly earnings and fundamentals and technicals of blue chip companies;
- Generate investment and trade ideas for the portfolios through detailed analysis;
- Monitor and maintain proprietary model portfolios;
- Regularly writing client friendly communication on current market conditions, trends and specific stock queries.
Trading Responsibilities:
- Monitor security prices for entry and exit levels;
- Manage debit balances and bulk trading for clients;
- Execute equity, fixed income, and FX trades on a regular basis;
- Day-to-day administrative tasks related to portfolio management;
- Invest incoming funds and rebalance existing portfolios into model portfolios;
- Creating client reports as needed.
