Skills Required:
- Experience in Elevator background, if in layouts, then preferred.

- Exposure to EN, SS550, GB codes is preferable.
Responsibilities & Key activities:
- Develop highly demanding concepts and solutions globally
- Take a leading global role as an engineering stakeholder in various development projects
- May lead global development cross-functional engineering projects from several viewpoints.
- May make management decisions as substitute for management and typically can take be substitute for a manager.
- Has knowledge and understanding of KONE global equipment offering, technical design, structure and details and of the technical strengths and limitations of products.
- Analyses contracts and specifications for equipment and selects the right products for the required solution.
- Designs highly demanding customized solutions.
- Cost understanding of solutions and components.
- Takes safety aspects into account and designs environmentally sustainable solutions when possible.
- As a member of a global engineering team, shares his/her knowledge and skills with colleagues and participates actively in meetings and workshops.
- May play the role of Chief Design engineer for supporting Major Projects
- Analyses technical requirements and identifies possible solutions
- Selects the optimal product/solution that meet the customer needs
- Clarifies with relevant stakeholders in case of unclear requirements and decides the solution
- Designs the solutions and/or components to meet customer specific requirements
- Creates drawings, engineering structures or other relevant outputs for the solution
- Understands basic cost levels of different components and solutions and utilizes cost knowledge in his/her work
- Takes all design relevant aspects into account when making engineering designs, like:
