SW Engineer (Full Stack Python Software Developer)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Full Stack Python Software Developer who can independently refactor, enhance, and build scalable applications across both backend and frontend layers. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, data processing, and modern web development frameworks, along with the ability to design robust, testable, and maintainable systems.
Core Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end full stack applications (backend + frontend).
- Refactor and enhance existing codebases to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using Python frameworks (e.g., Flask, FastAPI, Django).
- Build intuitive and responsive frontend interfaces using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or similar).
- Work extensively with data processing and analytics using Pandas and SQL.
- Implement robust error handling, logging, and custom exception frameworks.
- Design and maintain database schemas, queries, and stored procedures.
- Ensure high-quality code standards, including documentation and adherence to best practices.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Technical Requirements:
- Backend Development
- Minimum 2+ years of Software Engineering experience
- Expert-level proficiency in Python (2+ years)
- Strong experience with:
- Pandas for data manipulation and analysis
- OOP (Object-Oriented Programming)
- API development (Flask, FastAPI, Django REST Framework)
- Experience in:
- Writing reusable, modular, and scalable backend components
- Implementing decorators, middleware, and design patterns
- Error handling and custom exceptions
- Frontend Development
- Experience with modern front-end technologies:
- JavaScript (ES6+)
- Frameworks such as React / Angular / Vue
- Strong understanding of:
- HTML5, CSS3, responsive design
- State management and API integration
- Ability to create user-friendly and performant UI components
Database & Data Engineering:
- Strong knowledge of SQL
- Advanced concepts such as window functions, joins, stored procedures
- Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake)
- Understanding data pipelines and ETL processes is a plus
Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Ability to design and implement:
- Unit tests and integration tests
- Testing frameworks such as pytest, unittest
- Mocking techniques for isolated testing
- Commitment to test-driven development (TDD) principles
DevOps & Tools:
- Proficiency with Git (branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews)
- Experience with:
- CI/CD pipelines
- Containerization (Docker – preferred)
- Deployment on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP – preferred)
Software Engineering Best Practices:
- Strong understanding of:
- Code structuring and modular design
- Packaging and publishing Python libraries
- Documentation and maintainability standards
- Ability to architect and structure complex full-stack applications
