About this opportunity:
Ericsson is currently seeking a dynamic Senior Engineer Packet Core. To ensure configuration/Trouble Tickets/Troubleshooting/Security Compliances on various Core nodes on Ericsson Network Architecture.
What you will do:
- Monitor and manage PCN/MPBN nodes (SGW, PGW, SMF, UPF, routers, switches)
- Ensure network uptime and SLA adherence
- Perform routine health checks and preventive maintenance
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to: Data session drops, latency, throughput degradation and Signaling failures (GTP, Diameter, BGP, OSPF, ISIS)
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide corrective actions
- Coordinate with OEM/vendors for critical issues
- Execute CRs for: Node integration/upgrades ,Traffic offloading / rehoming, Feature activation (4G, 5G SA, slicing, QoS)
- Validate pre/post KPIs and ensure no service impact
- Monitor KPIs: Attach success rate, session success rate and Throughput, latency, packet loss
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize network performance
- Capacity planning and forecasting
- Manage interfaces: S1-U, S5/S8, N3, N6 (PCN) , IP/MPLS (MPBN).
- Ensure seamless integration with RAN, IMS, IN, and external networks
- Handle critical incidents and outages
- Lead bridge calls and coordinate cross-domain teams
- Ensure timely resolution and communication
- Prepare RCA reports, incident reports, and daily/weekly KPIs
- Maintain network documentation and configurations.
The skills you bring:
- Strong knowledge of: 4G EPC & 5G Core (SA/NSA)
- Strong knowledge of: IP/MPLS networking (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VRF)
- Strong knowledge of: Protocols: GTP, Diameter, SIP (basic), TCP/IP
- Experience with OEMs (Nokia, Ericsson, Huawei, Cisco, Juniper)
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix basics.
- 2 to 5 years of experience required.

Skills Required
