Brief Job Description:
The Associate Mechanical Engineer will support lead engineers with the creation of 3D parts, assembly CAD Models, 2D Drawings and 3D Model Based Definitions, Bill of Materials (BOM) and PLM/PDM data. Will support the NPDI projects developing reliable and accurate designs for Liquid Cooling Distribution Units.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:
- Contribute to the design and release of High density liquid cooling products. Designing structural sheet metal parts, stainless steel piping and fittings.
- Create and maintain 3D assembly models in Creo.
- Develop 3D parts and create required documentations 2D drawings or 3D Model Based Definitions (PVZ’s).
- Prepare and maintain BOM.
- Contribute and collaborate with electrical and thermal engineers.
- Selections of materials and hardware. Keep communication with suppliers.
- Support prototype builds and validation testing, manufacturing, quality issues and improvements.
- Under mentoring, will develop skillsets focused on thermodynamics and fluid mechanics.
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
-Sheet Metal design.
-Mechanical assembly.
-Welding / Brazing.
-Piping Design.
-CAD – PTC Creo is preferred.
-Experience with PLM systems (BOM management and change order release) and use of PDM systems.
-Good English communication skills (written and verbal).
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
When required to support factory operations, it will be needed to wear safety equipment (boots, gloves, sleeves, helmet, and safety glasses).
No other physical or environmental demands.
Time Travel Needed:
10% - Could be local, regional, or global.
