Job Purpose: -

The Associate Engineer – Flow Applications & Business Support will support the development and day-to-day execution of Yokogawa’s Flow business across the Middle East and Africa region.

The role is intended for a fresh engineering graduate who will be trained in Yokogawa Flow measurement products, applications, proposal preparation, technical documentation, customer presentations, business analysis, and opportunity tracking.

Initially, the position will focus on technical and commercial support activities from YMA headquarters in Bahrain. As product and application knowledge develops, the engineer will gradually participate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, application discussions, and business-development activities.

The long-term objective is to develop the trainee into a capable Flow Application Engineer / Flow Business Development Engineer.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

1. Proposal and Application Support

• Support Flow proposals, quotations, sizing and technical documentation
• Coordinate with country sales teams, RYG/YHQ and internal support functions
• Maintain proper documentation of applications, quotations, and technical clarifications.
• Support market research, competitor analysis and business reporting
• Participate in customer visits and site surveys
• Coordinate with country sales teams, proposal teams, PCI teams, and other YMA departments.

2. Opportunity and Pipeline Management

• Maintain and update Flow opportunity lists and sales pipelines.
• Track RFQs, quotations, customer follow-up, expected order dates, and opportunity status.
• Support preparation of monthly Flow business reports.
• Assist in monitoring country-wise, product-wise, and application-wise opportunities.
• Coordinate with country sales teams to collect and update opportunity information.
• Highlight pending actions and follow-up requirements to the Flow team.

3. Demonstration and Training Support

• Support flowmeter application checks and basic technical clarifications
• Assist with site data collection and application assessment
• Prepare and support product demonstrations and demo skids
• Support customer training Internal training, seminars and technical sessions
• Gradually develop capability in Yokogawa Flow products and applications

4. Business Presentation and Customer Material

• Prepare customer presentations, product presentations, and application notes.
• Support preparation of management presentations and business-development material.
• Prepare Flow marketing materials and industry guides.
• Assist in preparing technical comparison documents and solution overviews.
• Support customer meetings and technical discussions
• Assist with market-development activities and opportunity follow-up
• Support outbound customer communication and lead generation
• Gradually develop into a customer-facing Flow application and business-development role

Qualification and Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
