Job Title: Associate Engineer – Electrical

Job Summary
The Associate Engineer – Electrical will support the creation, validation, and maintenance of electrical design data, libraries, and documentation for Power and Thermal products under the guidance of senior engineers. The role involves assisting in Creo Schematic and Cabling activities, including component creation, wiring harness support, data checks, and documentation updates, while ensuring alignment with engineering standards, PLM systems, and project requirements.
Job Description:
- Assist in developing and maintaining electrical component libraries within Creo Schematic.
- Create and update basic schematic elements such as symbols, ports, draft groups, blocks, and groups as per defined guidelines.
- Support wiring harness design and electrical system documentation using Creo Cabling under supervision.
- Perform basic validation of electrical schematics and cabling designs for correctness, completeness, connectivity, and logical accuracy.
- Support consistency checks between Creo Schematic, Creo Parametric outputs, and PLM / engineering data systems.
- Assist in data checks related to wire sizing, electrical parameters, dataset structures, and member mapping.
- Create and update datasets, member maps, and structured data models as assigned.
- Support export and integration of schematic data into 3D CAD using Creo Parametric.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure electrical data is aligned with product lifecycle requirements.
- Execute assigned engineering tasks with guidance from senior engineers or team leads.
- Provide timely support to project teams to meet defined deliverables and timelines.
- Coordinate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve basic technical issues.
- Follow established engineering standards, SOPs, checklists, and workflows.
- Maintain quality, accuracy, and schedule adherence as per organizational requirements.
- Support Value Engineering (VE) and Value Analysis (VA) initiatives by assisting with data collection and documentation.
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 0- 3years of experience in electrical system design or related engineering activities is preferred.
- Knowledge of Creo Schematic and Creo Cabling tools is preferred.
- Understanding of electrical system design and wiring harness concepts is required.
- Familiarity with schematic artifacts such as symbols, draft groups, groups, blocks, and ports in Creo Schematics is an advantage.
- Exposure to component library creation and maintenance in Creo Schematic is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical design concepts, including wire sizing and selection considerations, is required.
- Exposure to PLM systems and MCAD tools is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of exporting files from Creo Schematic to Creo Parametric is preferred.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to execute assigned project activities with support from senior team members.
