As an Associate Cloud Engineer (AWS), you will support the design, deployment, monitoring, and optimization of cloud infrastructure for our clients. You will work closely with senior engineers to automate cloud operations, enhance security, ensure cost efficiency, and maintain high availability across AWS environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Infrastructure-as-Code tools, and scripting, along with a solid understanding of cloud operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support, administration, and monitoring of clients’ AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in weekly status calls with clients to review open issues, planned changes, and improvement recommendations.
- Assist in designing and developing automation solutions for monitoring, scaling, and managing cloud workloads.
- Configure and tune AWS-native and third-party tools focused on cost optimization, security, and compliance.
- Prepare and present monthly operational and performance reports for client environments.
- Troubleshoot issues related to compute, storage, networking, IAM, and deployments in AWS.
- Support incident, problem, and change management processes using internal service management tools.
- Ensure cloud infrastructures follow best practices for reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud operations or cloud engineering.
- Strong understanding of AWS services such as:
- EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, CloudTrail, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS.
- Experience designing or maintaining IaC templates using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows system administration.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with monitoring, cost management, and security tools (e.g., AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, CloudHealth, Prisma, Dome9).
- Experience with ticketing tools and Incident/Change Management processes.
