Job DescriptionTo conduct sector research, analysis and financial modelling to enable Sector Coverage in delivering universal sector leadership and expertise into Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) and the client franchise. Essential Functions include:
- Build and / or update sector specific forecast / financial models to determine the competitive landscape of the sector and to generate analytics and insights (charts, dashboards) for use in sector insight reports, presentations, publications and pitches.
- Stay abreast of news, research and insights on the macro economy, market, industry and client and counterparty base. Research, capture, collate, analyze and / or summarize relevant, quality and accurate documents, data and information (e.g. company financials, shareholders, value drivers, future prospects, due diligence reports, sector data, developments and trends) from various sources, and maintain the Sector Coverage database to enable Sector Coverage tactics
- Support the origination, structuring and execution of transactions by providing quality deliverables on time, paying close attention to detail to deliver to professional standards.
- Assist the origination process by drafting and / or revising proposals, pitch books, client presentations, circulars and other information required for client engagement (e.g. market updates, case studies), ensuring all regulatory aspects are considered. Deliver relevant information in a confident and creative way, while ensuring swift and accurate information availability.
- Adhere to the applicable CIB policies, systems, processes and procedures to ensure the compliance and fulfilment of all relevant risk, regulatory and business control requirements. Establish own internal stakeholder relationships across CIB (e.g. Product Lines, Risk, Legal) to develop proficiency in understanding products and processes

Experience Required
At least 3-4 years track record conducting research, analysis, interpreting and packaging qualitative and quantitative data and compiling client documentation ( i.e. presentation / pitch books, memoranda, and other presentation materials) to share insights and create client value
3 – 4 years demonstrated understanding of a specific sector and the overall CIB value proposition to enable effective sector origination.
3 - 4 years Advanced User experience in PowerPoint, Excel, Financial Modelling and Valuations
3-4 years demonstrated experience working in cross functional teams, to deliver comprehensive client experience.
3 – 4 years understanding of the regulatory environment for a relevant sector in which CIB operate, to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
3-4 years’ experience in portfolio management - internal stakeholder collaboration, compliance, reporting, middle office support, etc.
2 – 3 years’ experience within a corporate & investment banking product environment such as Investment banking, Global markets or Transactional banking would be preferred
