Role Overview: We are seeking a high-performing Associate to join our EMEA Family Office, Endowment & Foundations Relationship Management and Sales team. The EMEA Family Office, Endowment & Foundations team is one of the fastest growing and most sophisticated client segments in the region, and a strategic focus for BlackRock. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, detail-oriented and driven by a genuine interest in learning about both public and private market investments so as to develop fluency across both.
This role will be based in London, and the candidate will be responsible for supporting senior relationship managers in expanding our book of business with existing clients and new prospects across the BlackRock platform. The individual is expected to be an ambassador of BLK’s entire suite of services and to play a key role in contributing to the financial results of this business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Support senior relationship managers in building strong relationships with sophisticated family office, endowment & foundation clients and servicing the existing client base, understanding their needs and providing tailored investment solutions.
- Sales and Business Development: In partnership with senior relationship managers, identify and pursue new investment opportunities through consultative dialogues with existing and new investors. Exploit the full breadth of the firm’s investment expertise and strategies to bring innovative and timely investment ideas and solutions to clients.
- Market Expertise: Demonstrate fluency in both public and private markets, staying informed about industry trends and developments.
- Platform Expertise: Develop product fluency across BlackRock's investment platform - including a broad range of alternative strategies, equity, fixed income and multi-asset funds and index offerings representing the entire range of BlackRock’s investment capabilities, including traditional long-only strategies (active and index), liquid and illiquid alternative investments, and outsourced CIO (or “OCIO”) solutions.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with internal teams, including portfolio managers, analysts, and other sales associates, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans to achieve business objectives and enhance client satisfaction.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy and precision in all client communications, reports, and presentations, maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
- Continuous Learning: Exhibit intellectual curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning, staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in relationship management, sales, or a related role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of public and private markets, with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies to clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire to achieve and exceed goals.

Our hybrid work model
BlackRock’s hybrid work model is designed to enable a culture of collaboration and apprenticeship that enriches the experience of our employees, while supporting flexibility for all. Employees are currently required to work at least 4 days in the office per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1 day a week. Some business groups may require more time in the office due to their roles and responsibilities.
