We offer kids a delightful, engaging way to explore, create, and learn. Our core offering is a subscription service. We design and deliver awesome hands-on projects to kids. We also manage an e-commerce storefront and content platform. We take great pride and ownership in the products we build and in the community of parents and kids we serve. Our office is located in Mountain View, within walking distance to the Caltrain station. Currently, we work a hybrid schedule of Tuesday and Wednesday in-office and remote work the rest of the week.


KiwiCo is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Associate Editor/Writer to join our editorial team. As an Associate Editor/Writer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our educational content across various platforms. You will collaborate with editors, designers, and other stakeholders to write, edit, and refine content, ensuring it meets our brand standards and engages our target audience. The ideal candidate has a strong command of the English language, exceptional editing skills, and a passion for creating educational content that inspires children's learning experiences.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Write written content including instructional materials and marketing collateral, to ensure clarity, accuracy, grammar, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Review and revise content to improve readability, structure, and flow, while maintaining the educational and creative integrity of the material.
  • Copy editing and proofreading.
  • Ensure consistency in style, formatting, and tone across different pieces of content.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in editorial roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
  • Direct experience creating content for kids and their parents with a portfolio of past work.
  • Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors and inconsistencies in written content.
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Skilled at cross-functional creative collaboration, with excellent communication skills and the ability to give and receive feedback. 
  • Knowledge of educational content development and early childhood development is a plus.
