MLT’s internal Technology group is seeking a highly organized and driven manager to assist with supporting the organization’s cloud-first technology strategy. S/he will manage multiple projects that include assessing legacy platforms, implementing new platforms, managing projects that automate and speed up existing processes, and help manage overall vendor and partner relations.


The successful candidate will have a desire to improve operations and serve both internal and external customers to attain business solutions through the use of technology. The role is a critical bridge between contractors, internal clients, and the Technology management team. It involves oversight of development contractor resources as well as potentially project focused interns and is responsible for timeline, quality of delivery and budget related to projects. The role works closely with Business Analysts to prioritize projects according to rapidly-changing company needs. It is an exciting yet challenging role that requires the individual to be very budget-savvy without sacrificing quality. Additionally, the role may require wearing multiple hats simultaneously including serving as a backup to other roles on the Tech Team. It also requires the ability to learn new technologies quickly and provide technical recommendations to the Technology management team regularly. The mission of MLT is very challenging and this role is essential to its daily operations and scaling up strategically. The position will be a hybrid role based in the MLT headquarters in Bethesda, MD and will report directly to the Senior Director of Technology and Applications.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the Senior Director of Technology & Applications to ensure the technology roadmap is adhered to closely.
  • Manage project development resources including offshore contractors and interns and provide regular feedback related to budget, developer performance and any issues related to delivery timeline to manager.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and prioritize the intake of various projects.
  • Implement Agile project management methodology for organization and formal deployment process.
  • Lead regular stand-up meetings with all development resources.
  • Oversee implementation of formal change management process for all software development

What you have:

  • Must be local to the Bethesda, MD office and commute two days per week.
  • A minimum of five years of experience supporting SaaS platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of working with diverse set of customers that are geographically dispersed.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong business acumen and proven history of strong working relationships with internal customers.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies and desire to solve business problems with technology.
  • Experience with Agile methodology; Scrum Master certification preferred
