SoundCloud empowers artists and fans to connect and share through music. Founded in 2007, SoundCloud is an artist-first platform empowering artists to build and grow their careers by providing them with the most progressive tools, services, and resources. With over 400+ million tracks from 40 million artists, the future of music is SoundCloud.

SoundCloud is seeking a multifaceted Engineering Operations Lead to join our Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) organization, someone who blends the strategic rigor of a Technical Program Manager with the operational excellence of an Executive Assistant. In this hybrid-impact role, you will help drive the Creator and Fan experiences by serving as a trusted partner to our Chief Technology Officer, supporting executive operations with precision, discretion, and forward-thinking execution.

With a strong program management foundation, you are adept at navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and elevating operational experiences through thoughtful, data-informed decision-making. You will ensure the successful execution of complex, cross-organizational initiatives, anticipate and mitigate risks, prioritize initiatives, and generate visibility for critical decisions at the senior leadership level.

At the same time, you will enable the day-to-day success of executive leadership by managing complex scheduling across time zones, coordinating materials and deliverables for high-stakes meetings, and ensuring seamless communication and alignment across teams. You will develop agendas, track actions and outcomes, operationalize strategic priorities, and maintain the clarity and momentum needed to move the business forward.

Success in this role requires exceptional judgment, strong analytical and organizational skills, polished communication, and the ability to influence without authority. You thrive in fast-paced environments, operate with urgency, adapt quickly, and intuitively understand what your team needs, even before they ask. Energetic, poised, and grounded in integrity, you know when to push and when to hold the line. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about advancing product impact while elevating executive effectiveness, and excelling at both high-level strategy and meticulous execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee multiple cross-functional technology programs, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and driving execution from planning through launch
  • Build and maintain detailed program plans and roadmaps for high-priority initiatives, guiding teams through change and ensuring the timely delivery of milestones
  • Surface operational gaps and implement enhancements by refining existing processes or building scalable new ones, actively gaining buy-in from all relevant stakeholders
  • Coordinating cross-functional global teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration towards common goals, plans, and deliverables
  • Partner with executives as a strategic operator and gatekeeper, managing complex calendars, prioritizing time, scheduling meetings (executive and board-level), coordinating travel arrangements, and protecting focus for the highest-impact work
  • Prepare leadership for key discussions by building agendas, capturing notes, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-through across teams
  • Act as the proxy for the executives and their teams; set the tone for the organization, maintain the executive’s image - be able to speak on their behalf and represent them on multiple issues and subjects
  • Collaborate closely with fellow executive assistants to drive operational efficiency, foster seamless communication, and ensure a cohesive, well-coordinated connection between leadership and teams across the organization
  • Manage a warm, welcoming environment for the organization and keep the executives and their teams informed and aware of organizational issues, potential concerns, conflicts, and bottlenecks
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
  • Understand the business preferences and priorities of your leaders in order to best support their time

Experience and Background:

  • 8+ years supporting C-Level Executives, or similar experience in a Technical Program Manager, Chief of Staff, and/or Executive Assistant role
  • Possess technical acumen and proven experience in successful program delivery and management through each of these stages: initiation, planning, execution, tracking, and closing
  • Ability to align deliverables with the goals of the broader organization while identifying, influencing, and leading the implementation of impactful process improvements
  • High-level EQ with top-tier organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelines and rapidly shifting priorities
  • Proven ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion, integrity, and professionalism
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to proactively engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Be highly proficient at analyzing, synthesizing, and summarizing data/information, creating reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and making recommendations
  • Capable of managing stakeholder relationships across multiple functions internally and externally
  • Based in the New York Metropolitan Tri-State Area, you are expected to be in the office on the same days as the Chief Technology Officer, and are comfortable with the highly adaptable nature of support work, including being available as needed
  • Excellent command of Google Suite (including Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Calendar, Google Docs & Google Slides) for required preparation of presentations and drafting of various forms of correspondence requested by the Chief Technology Officer
