At Lilly, we unite caring with discovery to make life better for people around the world. We are a global healthcare leader headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our employees around the world work to discover and bring life-changing medicines to those who need them, improve the understanding and management of disease, and give back to our communities through philanthropy and volunteerism. We give our best effort to our work, and we put people first. We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.

Transform Data into Supply Chain Excellence

We're seeking a Supply Chain Analyst who combines analytical expertise with business acumen to drive data-informed decision-making across our global supply chain operations.

What You'll Do

You'll be at the intersection of data science, operations research, and supply chain strategy. Starting with transactional data from our enterprise systems, you'll build analytics solutions that help our teams identify trends, optimize operations, and improve business outcomes. This isn't just about reporting what happened—it's about using advanced analytical techniques to predict what will happen and prescribe what should happen.

You'll partner with stakeholders across Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and Distribution to understand their challenges, then design and deploy analytics solutions using platforms like Power BI, SAP.  Whether you're optimizing inventory levels, improving production scheduling, or analyzing distribution networks, you'll apply quantitative methods to deliver measurable value.

What Sets This Role Apart

  • End-to-End Ownership: You'll be involved in the complete lifecycle—from identifying business needs through solution design, deployment, and adoption
  • Diverse Impact: Your work will influence decisions across all levels of the organization, from frontline planners to executive leadership
  • Technology Innovation: You'll explore emerging analytics capabilities and shape how we leverage new tools and methodologies
  • Global Perspective: You'll gain exposure to pharmaceutical supply chains spanning multiple continents and regulatory environments

What You Bring

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related quantitative field.
  • 5+ years in manufacturing/supply chain roles with hands-on understanding of material flows and supply chain processes.
  • Strong technical skills in Power BI, SAP, Excel, and SQL.
  • Experience applying analytical methods to solve business problems.

Highly Valued:

  • Pharmaceutical or regulated industry background
  • Operations research techniques: optimization, simulation, statistical modeling, forecasting
  • Programming skills (Python, R) for advanced analytics augmented with AI
  • Lean Six Sigma training and project experience
  • Advanced degree in quantitative field

Who Thrives Here

You're someone who gets energized by turning messy data into clear insights. You're comfortable with ambiguity and can balance the rigor of quantitative analysis with the realities of business constraints. You build relationships easily, communicate complex ideas simply, and influence others through the power of data-driven storytelling.

You're technically capable but business-minded. You understand that the best analytical solution is the one that actually gets used and drives action. You're curious about emerging technologies but pragmatic about implementation. And you're committed to continuous improvement—both in your own skills and in the processes you support.

Why Join Us

This role offers a unique vantage point on pharmaceutical supply chains, blending process knowledge, stakeholder engagement, and advanced analytics. You'll develop expertise that's increasingly valuable as organizations continue their digital transformation journeys. You'll work with passionate colleagues who are committed to getting medicines to patients reliably and efficiently.
