The Solution Development Associate Director is responsible for advancing Grant Thornton’s go‑to‑market effectiveness by developing and enabling AI‑informed, client‑centric solutions that improve seller confidence and increase win rates. Positioned within the Sales Excellence team, this role focuses on the tools, resources, and materials that translate GT’s capabilities—particularly AI‑enabled and technology‑forward offerings—into clear, differentiated, and sales‑ready solutions.
This leader brings strong commercial judgment, structure, and a modern solution mindset to ensure sellers are equipped with practical, high‑impact resources aligned to GT’s growth priorities and how clients expect to buy today.
Key Responsibilities
AI‑Enabled Solution & Offering Development
- Lead the development of solution frameworks, playbooks, pitch content, and proposal assets that incorporate AI‑enabled capabilities, data insights, and technology accelerators where relevant.
- Partner with Advisory, Tax, and Audit leaders to shape market‑ready solutions that demonstrate how AI and advanced analytics improve client outcomes.
- Translate complex offerings into clear value propositions, use cases, and outcome‑driven narratives that resonate with executive buyers.
- Ensure solutions are designed to be repeatable, scalable, and configurable, enabling faster pursuit execution.
Sales Tools, Resources & Enablement
- Own a portfolio of selling tools and resources, including solution overviews, value stories, demos or exemplars, proposal modules, and guidance that supports AI‑enabled selling.
- Establish and apply quality and usability standards so materials are intuitive, actionable, and easy for sellers to apply in live pursuits.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales and Solution Leaders to ensure materials are well‑governed, accessible, current, and embedded in GT sales workflows and platforms.
- Continuously refine tools based on seller feedback, win/loss insights, and pipeline trends.
Win Rate & Commercial Effectiveness Focus
- Design solution assets specifically to improve differentiation, clarity of value, and pursuit confidence, with a direct line of sight to win rate improvement.
- Identify gaps across the sales lifecycle where AI‑enabled insights, tools, or guidance would meaningfully improve selling effectiveness.
- Support priority pursuits, strategic accounts, and firm initiatives with tailored solution content and advisory partnership as needed.
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Governance
- Act as a trusted partner to Sales Excellence leadership, CREs, and PMDs in shaping and advancing GT’s solution narrative.
- Facilitate alignment across service lines, Sales Excellence, and Marketing to accelerate solution readiness and time to market.
- Help define and reinforce solution governance, including intake, prioritization, refresh cadence, and ownership models.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in professional services, consulting, solution development, sales enablement, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience enabling complex, multi‑disciplinary solutions, ideally incorporating AI, technology, or data‑driven capabilities.
- Strong understanding of professional services selling, pursuit dynamics, and executive‑level client expectations.
- Proven ability to influence across matrixed teams and balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.

The base salary range for this position is between $144,000 and $233,280. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton’s discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity.
