Associate Director, Public Health Strategy

The US Public Health Strategy and Confidence marketing team is responsible for delivering impactful solutions to enhance and protect vaccination confidence, drive toward vaccination equity, and mitigate public health barriers to vaccination.
This role is responsible for the development of strategies and resources that will further enhance our Company's trusted relationship with stakeholders in the U.S. vaccines market and shape the transformation of the public health ecosystem to improve vaccine coverage, eliminate vaccination disparities, and achieve commercial objectives.
The Associate Director, Public Health Strategy, will operate under the umbrella of the broader Vaccines Portfolio Marketing Team to ensure alignment across key customer segments (Pharmacy, Payer, IDN, FQHC, Employer, and Public Health Stakeholders). The individual will closely support and lead collaborative efforts with several other teams including Global Medical Affairs, Policy, Contracting/Operations, Brand Teams, and the Field Sales organization.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Leverage available internal and externally available public health data and generate insights informing the development of public health stakeholder and leader engagement strategies
- Develop and execute marketing strategies: This includes identifying target consumer segments, evolving key messaging, and working with the extended team to match the right message with the right channel at the right time, to deliver the most effective results.
- Be strategy lead and subject matter expert for specific brand teams to inform, develop, and drive public health & confidence strategies that advance brand priorities.
- Lead strategic assessments of new stakeholders and identify appropriate above brand national, regional and/or local our Company engagement strategies.
- Identify and create public health, above brand resources aligned with identified opportunity spaces and priorities.
- Collaborate with external consultants, agencies, and other internal cross functional teams: Work closely with a wide range of agencies and partners to help build insights, develop and test different concepts with the plan of executing high impact strategies
- Role models and instills a culture of compliance focused on ethics and integrity in all we do.
Education Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS or relevant experience within pharmaceutical or vaccine marketing areas etc.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of five (5) years of pharmaceutical or vaccine marketing experience, or other relevant experience.
- Strong critical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proactive leadership skills.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience influencing without direct authority.
- Proven track record of managing tactical design, messaging, and execution.
- Experience managing creative agencies and/or other third-party vendors.
- Experience bringing promotional materials through legal and regulatory review.
- Proven ability to partner across a matrixed organization.
- Experience achieving efficiencies through effective organization and time management.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, analytical acumen, and exceptional overall business insights
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- MPH
- 5+ years in a customer facing role or public sector/health experience.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. Under New York State, Colorado State, Washington State, and California State law, the Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.
Expected salary range:
$130,960.00 - $206,200.00
