About the Position

A U.S. government agency requires a full time Associate Director contractor to provide critical administrative support to Senior Management within the agency.

This position is based in Washington, DC and is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities
  • Provide operational and programmatic support to overseas team staff and leadership, including helping to formulate and codify best practices, policies, and procedures for overseas operations and global business development coordination between field offices and headquarters.
  • Support the development and maintenance of a comprehensive onboarding and training program for personnel designated for overseas offices.
  • Support business development coordination across the organization through the development of standardized materials and resources accessible to staff.
  • Design and maintain an intuitive SharePoint site or webpage dedicated to business development coordination, including the creation of templates, frequently asked questions (FAQs), and sector- and region-specific guidance documents.
  • Ensure webpage content is regularly updated and maintained for accuracy and relevance.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for overseas programs, including drafting official communications such as cables and congressional notifications related to the opening and operation of overseas offices.
  • Track the progress of overseas office openings, including monitoring security clearances and personnel onboarding processes.
  • Provide problem-solving support for issues related to the administrative and operational setup of overseas offices.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews and assist in recruitment processes for overseas personnel.
  • Support cross-functional coordination to establish, standardize, and document processes for establishing new overseas offices.
  • Support engagement in meetings and conferences domestically and overseas and partnership engagements with other development finance institutions and investors.
  • Develop communications products highlighting agency initiatives, including blog posts, articles, talking points, and press materials.
  • Prepare work products such as data collection and analysis related to overseas offices and officer performance metrics, PowerPoint presentations, briefing memoranda, meeting notes, and talking points for meetings, events, and business development opportunities.
  • Support process improvement initiatives across the investment lifecycle by coordinating with team leads and implementers across offices to enable cross-functional collaboration, prioritize workstreams, and support execution.
  • Support training staff on human-centered design and agile tools and coordinate meetings and workshops with senior leadership, operations, IT, and other offices to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness of investment processes.
  • Support corporate-wide pipeline and leads management by coordinating with business lines, field office stakeholders, and other internal offices across the investment lifecycle from business development through underwriting and performance monitoring.
  • Work with internal and external technical implementers to enhance pipeline and leads data reporting and dashboard capabilities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a Master’s degree preferred.
  • U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a related consulting or project management field, including development, emerging markets, investment or business advisory services, or management consulting.
  • Knowledge and skill in formulating and recommending new policies, processes or strategies.
  • Ability to communicate with skill both verbally and in writing. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective and cooperative working relationship with representatives internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of management and organizational principles and practices along with a knowledge of planning, programming, prioritizing, and skill in gathering data and preparing reports for formal review and analysis.
  • Ability to lead effective meetings and present to senior/executive leadership.
  • Ability to own and prioritize multiple concurrent workstreams end-to-end.
  • Specialized experienced required include process development and implementation, data analysis, excel skills, market research, communications, and project management
