At Turner & Townsend, we’re passionate about making the difference. As an Associate Director, Project Management, you'll play a key leadership role within our Real Estate team, helping to drive business growth, strengthen client relationships and deliver outstanding project and programme management services.

You’ll work closely with the Director of Project Management and the wider leadership team to shape strategy, develop new business opportunities and lead the successful delivery of complex projects and programmes. Alongside service delivery, you’ll be responsible for developing our people, improving our capabilities and promoting Turner & Townsend across the market.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced project management professional who combines strong technical expertise with commercial awareness, leadership capability and a passion for client service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, develop and grow project management teams, providing coaching, mentoring and line management support.
  • Support the growth and profitability of the business through client relationship management, business development and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, developing and maintaining strong long-term relationships.
  • Lead and contribute to proposals, bids, presentations and client interviews to secure new work.
  • Lead the delivery of complex projects and programmes, ensuring successful outcomes across time, cost and quality.
  • Provide strategic oversight across multiple commissions, managing risks, governance and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management methodologies, processes and service delivery.
  • Take responsibility for commission financial performance, including forecasting, fee management and profitability.
  • Support recruitment and talent development, helping to build high-performing teams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across sectors and service lines to deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Promote Turner & Townsend in the market through networking, thought leadership and industry engagement.
  • Champion health, safety, wellbeing and corporate responsibility initiatives.

Qualifiche

  • Degree or equivalent in construction management, engineering, architecture, real estate or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10+ years' experience in project or programme management within the real estate construction sector.
  • Significant experience in office fit-out projects.
  • Proven experience leading complex projects, programmes or portfolios from inception through to completion.
  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and developing new business opportunities.
  • Experience leading and developing teams, including line management responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of the full project lifecycle and project management best practices.
  • Commercially aware, with experience managing project finances, forecasting and profitability.
  • Experience preparing and presenting proposals, bids and client presentations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build lasting relationships internally and externally.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and leadership skills.
  • Relevant consulting experience is desirable.
  • Fluent in English and Italian with strong written and verbal communication skills.
