Chewy is recruiting for an Associate Director, MRO & Capital Procurement!
What You'll Do:
- Develop and implement annual strategic plans for the sub-category
- Plan and complete sourcing strategies and leverage Chewy’s buying power across area of responsibility
- Identify and realize cost savings and reduction opportunities
- Meet regularly with internal collaborators to align procurement strategies and cost savings opportunities
- Build relationships with internal business partners, vendors, and key suppliers
- Lead end-to-end negotiations with suppliers, including contracting and contract management
- Manage Tier 1 suppliers in collaboration with business partners
- Keep abreast of industry market trends and standard processes
- Drive continuous improvement opportunities
What You'll Need:
- BA or BS required; MBA preferred. Procurement certifications are a plus (e.g., CSPM, APP, ISM, IPMM or MCIPS)
- 8+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing and developing category strategies
- Expertise in managing Corporate Services categories along with experience negotiating technology contracts within the categories as applicable
- Ability to work with cross-functional business partners
- Outstanding organizational and project management skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with both internal and external customers
- Intermediate to Advanced level Microsoft Office proficiency, excellent excel skills
- Strong Analytical skills and detail orientation
- Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable and improved results against the organization's key performance indicators
- Elevated level of customer focus and an ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment
- Up to 15% travel may be required
