Purpose of the Job:

PRA Associate Director plays a key role in making Lilly’s medicines available to patients in the Czech health care environment. He/she is responsible for driving of creation and implementation of PRA strategy to support Lilly business priorities, management of hospital business operations, strong external relationships with key stakeholders, co-ordination of internal cooperation on access-related issues and communication.

The role encompasses deep understanding of the external environment and ensures the appropriate design, development, and implementation of Lilly’s payer strategies. The PRA Associate Director must understand key drivers (product and environment driven) for getting positive pricing and access decisions to achieve the affiliate PRA objectives (existing indications and future line extensions).

Responsibilities:

DRIVE ACCESS STRATEGY

  • Drive access strategy for overall Lilly portfolio in co-operation with product teams
  • Achieve reimbursement for new products and indications and protect reimbursement for currently marketed brands
  • Develop and manage pricing strategies, leverage alternative pricing and access solutions and risk agreements in expanding, defending and maintaining access
  • Translate and customize existing value propositions and product positioning, including input into any regionally developed economic models and dossiers
  • Ensure affiliate have adequate PRA support either provided directly or by bringing in the right global or regional experts
  • Build effective internal relationship with individuals and teams in the affiliate, operate across boundaries

HOSPITAL BUSINESS

  • Manage hospital business strategy (B2B) for selected product
  • Supervise implementation of inpatient pricing strategies

EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS’ ORIENTATION

  • Identify and prioritize key professional relations and advocacy groups
  • Build effective relationship with key though leaders, policy makers & payers for all strategic products
  • Build effective relationship with industry representatives
  • Build effective internal relationship with individuals and teams in all three business units, operate across boundaries

MANAGEMENT OF PEOPLE

  • Supervise and coach PRA Team members (PRA Manager, Manager Commercial Affairs)

Required qualification and competencies

  • A medical or pharmacist background would be desirable with evidence of business acumen, a previous experience in pricing / PRA roles is required.
  • Proven ability to connect, communicate, influence and persuade others - ability to work effectively across functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in working effectively with teams and various functional areas such as research, development, marketing services, finance, customer service, and business development
  • High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations and business problems.
  • Fluent business- and job-related English (written and spoken).
  • Demonstrated learning agility, critical thinking skills.
  • A strong professional work ethic.
