About your team
The Asia Risk team, part of Fidelity’s Global Risk Function, supports the growth of the business by cultivating an effective risk culture and ensuring that the risk framework is thoroughly embedded throughout the business through active engagement with business units, review and challenge of the control environment, ensuring that risks are within the stated risk appetite, reporting of risks and risk indicators, and provision of training and education.
About your role
- Drive a proactive and open risk culture within the Asia ex Japan & Middle East Wholesale and Private Banking business, including China.
- Coordinate all first line risk activities and challenge existing processes to support the growth of the business.
- Ensure timely escalation, investigation, and reporting of incidents and errors.
- Recommend, challenge, and track agreed remediation plans and mitigating activities.
- Execute risk and control self-assessments across the business.
- Track remediation plans and agreed control improvements.
- Prepare risk and incident reporting to business stakeholders and senior management.
About you
- Proven experience operating in a senior risk management role within the financial services industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision points.
- Think creatively and strategically on complex business issues
- Experience with key processes within the wholesale and/or private bank business and associated functions (e.g. trading, settlement, pricing, client on-boarding, client reporting)
- Strong influencing skills, ability to communicate and justify change.
- Knowledge of local regulatory requirements.
