Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking an Associate Director, Instock Management- Hardgoods to join our Supply Chain Team! The Associate Director will lead a high-performing team of 4-5 Instock Managers while being responsible for all aspects of inventory management including (but not limited to): in stock strategy, demand planning, inventory performance, vendor improvement, key supply chain initiatives and internal cross-functional partnerships. What You'll Do:
- Lead team of 4-5 Instock Managers
- Partner with technology and product teams to drive process & system improvements
- Maintain the relationship with complex suppliers and influence them to improve supply chain performance guided by Chewy’s strategic objectives.
- Lead multiple, large cross-functional projects and working groups.
- Develop key insights through data analysis of multiple, large data sets that drive improvement across Chewy’s broader supply chain.
- Develop project white papers and project plans through direct ownership of specific initiatives and ability to influence/direct cross functional partners.
- Develop scalable solutions that have application across Chewy’s broader supply chain leading to new cross-functional processes.
- Influence and negotiate with others to achieve win-win outcomes. Understand the end to end supply chain and develop efficient solutions that benefit total Chewy.
- Lead the design, validation and implementation of standard methodologies within the Instock organization.
What You'll Need:
- BS/BA in Supply Chain, Business Administration or Business Management
- MBA preferred
- 8+ years of supply chain experience
- Current managerial responsibility of a team of 3+
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional stake holders, influence decisions, and recommend a course of action based on data analytics
- Ability to think creatively and build innovative solutions to complex challenges
- Ability to drive process improvement with a focus on automation and continuous improvement
- Ability to operate and scale in a growing, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
- Superior organizational, self-motivation and problem-solving skills
- Solid understanding in purchasing, forecasting and inventory management systems
- Proven record of building teams, developing solutions, and delivering results
- Previous demand planning, supply planning, inventory management is a requirement
- Private Label experience a plus
- Advanced technical skills with MS Excel, SQL and/or Tableau skills preferred
- Position may require some travel
A Plus if You Have:
- Ecommerce experience
- Tableau, R, Python, or KNIME experience
- Experience with traditional Project Management
- Lean/Six Sigma experience
